Game Notes: New Mexico State at No. 9 Texas A&M
Sun Belt meets SEC as the Aggies of New Mexico State travel to Kyle Field to take on the Aggies of Texas A&M who are fresh off their first loss of the season.
After starting their season 6-0, Texas A&M fell to the number one team in the nation on the road after a second half dissipated rather quickly. Enter the New Mexico State Aggies. Those Aggies lost last week too, but to Georgia Southern. NMSU is 2-5 on the seasons and 1-3 in conference. They’ve already met an SEC opponent this year, losing to Kentucky in Week 3 by a score of 62-42.
After a couple of prime time showdowns with Verne Lundquist on the call, the Aggies and Aggies will meet in a less heralded Saturday night contest. Regardless of the stature of the opponent, the maroon and white will once again fill the stands for the first Texas A&M home game in three weeks.

And it’s never a bad time to take a shot at t.u.
The 2016 Texas Longhorns couldn't beat the New Mexico State Aggies, let alone the real Aggies from Texas A&M. #GBHTailgate #BTHOnmsu

Predictions
Anybody can beat anybody in college football. That’s the mantra at least of New Mexico State head football coach Doug Martin. Realistically the NMSU Aggies are going to be lucky to get more than a few points on the board. Look for the Texas A&M Aggies to win, cover, and take out a week’s worth of offensive frustration out on the New Mexico State Aggies.
