Georgia Tech's Snoddy working his way back to football field
It was nine months ago that a promising season was cut short for Georgia Tech running back Broderick Snoddy, as he broke the fibula and tibia in his left leg during a victory over ACC rival Clemson.
Like a lot of defenders have found out in the past, it takes a lot to keep Snoddy down.
The senior running back has worked his way back on to the practice field and is gaining more and more confidence with each cut.
“I got to change directions, stick it in the ground and cut back,” Snoddy told the Augusta Chronicle after taking part in a seven-on-seven drill. “After that, I got a little more confident.”
The 5-9, 190-pound Snoddy ended the 2014 season gaining 283 yards and three touchdowns on 28 carries and is the Yellow Jackets leading returning rusher at the running back positon.
Georgia Tech QB Justin Thomas, who rushed for 1,086 yards last season, said seeing Snoddy back in action has had a positive effect on the team.
“Just him being out there is a good part of our offense,” Thomas told the Augusta Chronicle. “Just seeing him do the things that he’s doing is great.”
