Grier is the difference for Florida, according to Pinkel

Published Oct. 7, 2015 1:00 p.m. ET

Head coach Gary Pinkel knows his defense needs to disrupt the current rhythm of Florida signal-caller Will Grier.

The Gators' quarterback has been playing at an incredibly high level this year. Grier is completing passes at a 67.2-percent clip, and has thrown 10 touchdowns to only three interceptions. He also effectively beat out Treon Harris for the job, and has led Jim McElwain's team to a perfect 5-0 start.

Grier's command of the offense has been the most impressive part. Playing with intelligence, guile, and moxie, the North Carolina gets the ball to where it needs to be. It's far-cry from the previous few years under former head coach Will Muschamp, where the Gators struggled immensely at the position.

Missouri needs to make Grier uncomfortable in the pocket. He can't get time to set up shop and calmly find the likes of Antonio Callaway, Brandon Powell and Demarcus Robinson. As a result, the defensive end pairing of Walter Brady and Charles Harris will be huge in this contest.
