Harbaugh calls OSU-Michigan game day 'better than Christmas'

Published Sep. 1, 2015 1:33 p.m. ET

Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh did not say much about football on his radio show Monday, but he did have at least a pair of sound bites.

Via the Detroit News, Harbaugh identified the day of the Ohio State-Michigan game (Nov. 28 this season) as the "best day of the year," calling it, "Better than Christmas."

The former Wolverines quarterback (he was 2-0 as the starter against the Buckeyes) also explained why he said the team was going into a submarine at the start of camp. A media blackout of nearly three weeks followed.

"I didn't mean to be that dramatic with it, just thought of it right there on the spot," the coach said. "Nobody said anything about it, so one week turned into two weeks, and two weeks turned into three weeks."
