Harbaugh finds inspiration for Michigan State-Michigan preparation from 'Lion King'

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 2:49 p.m. ET

Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh furthered his reputation for producing quirky quotes Monday by citing the classic Disney movie "The Ling King" when asked about his history with Michigan State and the Spartans' recent domination of its in-state series with the Wolverines.

Michigan still owns the advantage in the all-time series 68-34-5, but the Spartans have won six of the last seven since Michigan running back Mike Hart famously referred to MSU as the Wolverines' "Little brother."

Perhaps worth noting: Harbaugh is not the first Michigan coach to make a similar reference in the past decade.
