Harbaugh on that time 'the real Michael Jordan' cold-called him

Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh spoke to reporters in Ann Arbor on Thursday afternoon for about 20 minutes without saying much about his Wolverines.

He did tell a cool story about that time Michael Jordan cold-called him though.

"My phone rang and it was a number I didn't know, and I said, 'Hello,' and I didn't catch the whole name. You know how cell phones cut out sometimes. I got part of it, and I said, 'Excuse me, the phone cut out. Who's this?'

"And he said, 'This is Michael Jordan.' And I said, 'Come on!' And he says, 'This is Michael Jordan.' And I went, 'The real Michael Jordan?' So that's kind of how it went. It was really cool."

After noting his wife was very impressed, Harbaugh was asked whether we can expect to see the Jordan logo on Michigan game balls in the future, and he seemed to confirm that will be the case.

"It's gonna be awesome."

The Summer of Harbaugh might be drawing to a close with the Wolverines only one week from their first game, but there was time for at least one more story.
