Hawkeyes defensive gets many All-Big Ten honors

On Monday the Big Ten announced the defensive and special teams all-conference awards. After completing a perfect regular season, the Iowa Hawkeyes were rewarded accordingly.

Desmond King who won defensive back of the year was named to the first team. 

In addition to King, sophomore linebacker Josey Jewell earned second team all-conference honors from both the coaches and media and senior kicker Marshall Koehn was a second-team selection of Big Ten coaches.

Both the media and coaches awarded senior defensive end Nate Meier third-team honors and he was joined on the coaches team by senior free safety Jordan Lomax.

The offensive awards will be released on Tuesday.
