Healthy Harris hoping to join fray at wide receiver for Michigan

Michigan football has no proven deep threat heading into the 2015 season. Could a one-time big-time recruit change that?

Drake Harris hopes so.

The Detroit Free Press reports Harris, who was highly coveted as both a football and basketball prospect at Grand Rapids (Mich.) Christian when he signed with Michigan in 2014, is healthy and hoping to put two years of injuries behind him.

“This is the best I’ve felt since back in my junior year of high school,” Harris said. “I feel better than I felt even then. I feel good, I feel healthy.”

The 6-foot-4, 174-pounder told the paper he has been able to put recurring hamstring problems behind him thanks to the help of the Michigan training staff.
