OGDEN, Utah (AP) Weber State has signed football coach Jay Hill to an extension that keeps him in charge of the program through the 2023 season. The deal adds two years to a five-year extension signed in January.

The Wildcats won a school-record 11 games this season and two FCS playoff games for the first time in school history. The Big Sky Conference champions are 11-2 and face No. 1 James Madison in the quarterfinals Friday.

Weber State finished the regular season ranked No. 9 in the nation in the FCS coaches' poll.

Hill is 26-22 in his fourth season at Weber State and 20-12 in conference play. The Wildcats have three consecutive winning seasons and placed a league-high eight players on the 2017 All-Big Sky first team.
