Hogan, McCaffrey named to Maxwell Award watch list

Stanford senior QB Kevin Hogan and sophomore RB Christian McCaffrey have been named to the Maxwell Award watch list. 

The Maxwell Award is presented annually to the national college football player of the year. Stanford is one of 14 programs with multiple players on the 80-man list this season. 

Hogan has started 37 games in his career for Stanford and has taken the team to two Rose Bowls in the past three seasons.

McCaffrey played in all 13 games for the Cardinal last season and amassed 796 all-purpose yards as a true freshman. He was also named to the Paul Hornung Award watch list on Monday.
