Hoosiers to add 2 junior college players to roster
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) Indiana may have gotten its quarterback of the future Wednesday.
Coach Kevin Wilson announced the Hoosiers have signed quarterback Richard Lagow and safety Jayme Thompson.
Wilson says they will practice before Indiana leaves for next week's Pinstripe Bowl in New York and will return for offseason workouts beginning next month.
The 6-foot-6, 240-pound Lagow is considered one of the nation's best pocket passers. Last season at Cisco Community College in Texas, he completed 66 percent of his passes and threw for 2,285 yards, 21 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He transferred to Cisco after redshirting at Oklahoma State in 2013.
At 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, Thompson could solidify Indiana's secondary. He had 81 tackles and two interceptions last season at Iowa Western Community College. He redshirted at Ohio State in 2013.
