Hunter Renfrow was on fire in the first quarter of the College Football Playoff championship game, as he caught two touchdown passes to give Clemson a 14-7 lead over Alabama by the end of the first quarter on Monday.
Renfrow, a freshman wide receiver, first pulled in a 31-yarder to help his team pull even with the Crimson Tide 7-7.
Renfrow struck again on the very next possession, making a diving catch in the center of the end zone for an 11-yard touchdown as time expired in the first quarter. No. 1 Clemson would eventually fall to No. 2 Alabama, 45-40.
