Miami’s 5-6, 185-pound walk-on running back Joel Evans caused a storm in the Hurricanes weight room during post-spring testing as he topped several of his Goliath-sized teammates en route to displaying his ultra-athleticism.

According to Canesport.com, Evans, a freshman from Riverside High School (Durham, N.C.), bench pressed 225 pounds 23 times, ran a 4.63 40-yard dash and recorded a squat max of 550 pounds, which was the third best on the team.

Evans, who has no star ratings from Rivals or ESPN, once rushed for 416 yards and six touchdowns on 12 carries in a high school game.
