Huskers get good injury news on Pierson-El, Gangwish

As Big Ten play starts, the Nebraska Cornhuskers are in desperate need of good news on the injury front.

With multiple defensive players injured including defensive tackle Vincent Valentine and starting linebackers Josh Banderas and Michael Rose-Ivey. Heading into the game on Saturday against Illinois, the Huskers will be getting two key players back.

Defensive end Jack Gangwish and wide receiver/return specialist De'Mornay Pierson-El will be active this week according to Mike Riley on Thursday after practice:

This is certainly welcome news for a team that has been crushed by the injury bug.
