Huskers WR Pierson-El named to Paul Hornung Award watch list

On Monday, a prestigious preseason "watch-list" came out and the Nebraska Cornhuskers had a player on it. 

De'Mornay Pierson-El was listed on the Paul Hornung Award watch list. The award is given yearly to the nations most versatile player. Last season as a true freshman, De’Mornay Pierson-El ranked second nationally in punt returns, averaging 17.5 yards per return, which netted him second-team All-America honors. He also caught 23 passes for 321 yards and four scores, New coach Mike Riley has pledged to get him the ball early and often.

Former Husker running back Ameer Abdullah was a finalist for the award last year. To see the full list of Big Ten players named, click here.
