Junior college QB Tony Rodriguez has decided to take his talents to the University of Washington. The City College of San Francisco QB has signed a scholarship offer with the Huskies and will be eligible to play this upcoming season.

Rodriguez, who is listed at 6'3" and 185 pounds, earned NorCal offensive player of the year honors in 2014 as a sophomore. He threw for 2,400 yards and 18 touchdowns last year and will be expected to compete for the starting job along with junior Jeff Lindquist, redshirt freshman K.J. Carta-Samuels and true freshman Jake Browning.

When asked about his playing style, Rodriguez had this to say:

“I’m probably more of a pocket-passer,” Rodriguez told Scout.com. “I can run when I need to, but I am at my best when I can drop back, read a defense and get the ball to my receivers and let them do what they do best.”
