Illinois adds ex QB Nathan Scheelhaase to football staff

Who says you can't go home again? 

Illinois has hired former Illini quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase as the assistant director of football operations. The school announced Tuesday that Scheelhaase will take over the position vacated recently by another former Illini quarterback Juice Williams. Juice took a job at Georgetown as he tries to keep moving up the coaching ranks. 

Coach Tim Beckman said Scheelhaase's strong relationships with coaches, players and alumni should be an asset to the program.
