Incoming Davis twins may begin career at defensive end
Two recruits that Nebraska fans can't wait to see are twin brothers Carlos and Khalil Davis who played defensive tackle in high school.
The pair from the Kansas City area just may have a different position than they are used to when they arrive in Lincoln this summer. According to the Omaha World Herald, the twins talked with defensive coordinator Mark Banker and he would like to see them coming off the edge:
"Coach Hughes came by last month and talked to us about playing defensive end, Carlos Davis said. I'm not sure where we'll start out, but it'll be somewhere along the defensive line. I'd prefer to play inside, but it doesn't really matter where we play. We'll play all positions."
Nebraska only has two ends on the team with real experience so getting more options as that position isn't a bad idea. The twins have stated they don't want to redshirt so moving to end could help them see the field faster since two other incoming freshman defensive ends Alex Davis and DaiShon Neal are a bit leaner and could use more time in the weight room.
