Indiana's Jason Spriggs gets big opportunity to showcase skills

Indiana football announced Wednesday afternoon senior left tackle Jason Spriggs has accepted an invitation to play in the Senior Bowl in January. 

Spriggs, who is among the semifinalists for the Outland Trophy, is a four-year starter on the offensive line in Bloomington.

He will get to work with NFL coaches and be seen up close by NFL scouts in the Senior Bowl.

According to IU, he has allowed two sacks while recording 61 knockdowns this season. He also gave up two sacks last season. 

The last Hoosier to represent the program in the Senior Bowl was offensive lineman James Brewer in 2011.
