One of the biggest question marks heading into the National Championship between No. 1 Clemson and No. 2 Alabama is the status of All-American defensive end Shaq Lawson for the Tigers. Lawson of course missed much of the semifinal Orange Bowl victory over Oklahoma after sustaining an injury to his knee.

Well Clemson fans got a ray of hope Tuesday, as Lawson was seen participating in practice, albeit with a brace on his inured knee.

Lawson leads the nation with 22.5 tackles-for-loss and is among ACC leaders with 10.5 sacks on the season. While coaches appear optimistic he will play, Lawson doesn't sound so sure.

“How I feel when it comes to game time? Hopefully, I’ll be feeling right,” said Lawson Tuesday. “I’ll say if we played tomorrow, I couldn’t be able to play, that’s how I feel right now.”
