Iowa State snags JUCO offensive lineman
Iowa State had its moments on the offensive line in 2015, but the group could certainly add some more muscle. The Cyclones added a key JUCO offensive lineman transfer this week to help bolster their front.
Oge Udeogu is a 6-foot-4, 310-pounder who the Cyclones could start at one of the guard spots next season. He also drew interest from Houston and several other schools.
Udeogu was pleased with the Matt Campbell hire, and that sealed the deal for his commitment.
"I actually talked to Coach (Todd) Sturdy the day before they found out they were fired," Udeogu said. "He was still trying to get me up there for a visit. I was following the news for a while because people were talking about maybe they were going to get fired. It was great when Coach Campbell got hired, he and Coach Manning are my guys. They turned Toledo around and I think they will do it for Iowa State, too."
Udeogu played high school football in the Chicagoland area.
