Jabrill Peppers: Not leaving Michigan without his degree

Jabrill Peppers, a five-star recruit in the 2014 class, is the type of player who could leave school early for the NFL.

The 6-foot-1, 205-pound defensive back had an injury-riddled freshman campaign that ended with him taking a medical redshirt. He’s still ridiculously talented, though, and could depart for the NFL after his redshirt sophomore season.

Peppers addressed that possibility today, saying he won’t be leaving Ann Arbor without his degree.

Now, it’s possible Peppers could get his degree in three years. Student-athletes typically take classes over the summer which would allow Peppers to gain enough credits to get a degree after just three years on campus.

But, it’s nice to hear him say he values the degree enough to keep him on campus.
