SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) Evan Jacks rushed for 120 yards and two touchdowns, and Chase Nelson ran for the game-clinching TD with 17 seconds remaining, lifting Wofford to a 38-28 win over Furman on Saturday.

Facing fourth-and-1, Wofford (5-6, 3-4 Southern) elected to go for it rather than attempt a 45-yard field goal and go up by six. Nelson got the carry and took it 28 yards for the clinching score.

Nelson and Jacks combined for 205 of the Terriers' 417 rushing yards. Wofford attempted five passes compared to 63 rushes.

Furman (4-7, 2-5) fought back from a 31-14 deficit, scoring two fourth-quarter touchdowns to pull within three. P.J. Blazejowski, who threw for 215 yards and 3 TDs, hit Duncan Fletcher for scores of five and 16 yards before Nelson's 28-yarder.
