Jake Rudock updates his status for Michigan's bowl game

Michigan not only lost its season finale to Ohio State, the Wolverines also lost quarterback Jake Rudock to an injury.

The senior signal caller left the 42-13 loss to the Buckeyes after being slammed down hard on his left (non-throwing) shoulder by former high school teammate Joey Bosa, and there has not been a lot of information available about his recovery since then.

Speaking to reporters in Ann Arbor on Tuesday, he indicated he will be able to play when Michigan faces Florida in the Citrus Bowl on Jan. 1.

Rudock and the Wolverines are aiming for a 10th win in the first season under new head coach Jim Harbaugh.

"I know this process. We have a few weeks to get healthy, so I wasn't really concerned about that. I'd figure out a way whatever it is. We could take our time, so we took our time. There's no point to force anything with a few weeks to get ready."
