Jim Harbaugh waited until Saturday's season opener to reveal who Michigan's starting quarterback would be and once the decision was clear, the Wolverines head coach had an interesting way of getting him pumped for his first snap.
As Wilton Speight started taking snaps with starting center Mason Cole, it became apparent that the redshirt sophomore from Virginia would start Saturday's game against Hawaii.
And just before entering the game, Harbaugh playfully pummeled the QB to get him hyped up for game action.

Harbaugh's unique approach seemed to have worked, as Speight opened the game by throwing for two touchdowns early in the first quarter.
