Jordan Stout announced on Tuesday evening he would be committing to Virginia Tech.

As thevtzone.com points out in their tweet, Stout will be a walk-on kicker commit for Virginia Tech.

Here is what kohlskicking.com had to say about Stout, who is ranked as their No. 21 kicker/punter on their website.

“Stout had strong showings at the 2016 UC Challenge and 2015 Dec Southern Showcase Camps. If you took out his lowest couple punts at the National Scholarship Camp, he’d have been in the top five. He has one of the fastest legs in the country and is developing into one of the top combo prospects in the country. Stout’s talent is at the very top of the 2017 class. He hit 5.0 hang-times at the UC Challenge in the competition. His consistency needs to get a little better to match his leg talent.”

Stout had the chance to talk to Tim Hayes of BHC Sports saying “Ever since I was a kid I have always wanted to be a Hokie and it just so happens I received an offer and I couldn’t pass it up,” Stout said. “It is the closest college to my home and it would be most convenient for me and my family.”

Stout went on to kick two field goals on Sunday during the Virginia High School Coaches Association All-Star Game in Hampton.

Virginia Tech was among a long list of Division I schools Stout had offers from.
