Just how good is Kentrell Brothers?
There's no question Missouri linebacker Kentrell Brothers is having a banner year for the Tigers. His presence within the defense truly correlates with Missouri's stellar overall defensive numbers from a national standpoint.
Facilitating as the essential heartbeat of the unit, Brothers leads both the nation and SEC in tackles (103). In addition, he became the first Mizzou player since Sean Weatherspoon with back-to-back 100 tackle seasons. He's also the first player under head coach Gary Pinkel to have at least 10 tackles in four-straight games.
With that said, it's truly perplexing as to why he wasn't included on the list of semifinalists for the Butkus Award list -- given to the nation's best linebacker.
Brothers can flex his muscles and alleviate some frustration Thursday night in a nationally televised game versus stud signal-caller Dak Prescott and the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
