K-State DB Cre Moore charged with DUI offense
Kansas State defensive back Cre Moore was involved in a one-vehicle crash early Sunday morning and was arrested on a charge of driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
According to the Topeka Capital-Journal, the Riley County police department found that Moore's Ford pickup truck left the roadway and collided with a light pole and a privately owned stone stairwell. Moore, 20, avoided injury, but the vehicle sustained heavy damage.
The Capital-Journal reported that Moore was also found to be in possession of “several pills which were identified as depressants,” according to the report. He was given a bond of $3,500 for the offenses of DUI and possession of a depressant.
Kansas State coach Bill Snyder is aware of the situation. On Monday's Big 12 coaches teleconference, Snyder was asked about the incident and said, "Yes, I do know how I will handle that."
He declined to comment further.
The backup defensive back from Broken Arrow, Okla., had one tackle in the Wildcats' 36-34 loss at Oklahoma State on Saturday.
