Coach Mark Stoops and the Kentucky football program did its job, turning around the season, and potentially the entire program, in historic fashion this year to go bowling for the first time since 2010. Now Big Blue Nation, expectedly, has done its job as well, as Kentucky announced today that it sold its entire allotment of 8,000 TaxSlayer Bowl tickets in just three days.
“The passion of our fans is a major reason we were selected to play in the TaxSlayer Bowl and we are thankful they have already made plans to follow us in such great numbers,” Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart said in a release. “Though we have sold through our initial allotment, tickets are still for sale. We hope many more members of the Big Blue Nation will buy them and join us in Jacksonville.”
The UK Ticket Office also announced that it had secured additional lower-level tickets in an effort to meet the demand of all requests. Tickets can be purchased through the UK Ticket Office or directly through the TaxSlayer Bowl website. Regardless of where tickets are purchased, the UK Ticket Office encourages fans look to the west side of the stadium, which will feature the UK sideline and majority of BBN in the stands.
