Key Nebraska Football Players Available For Indiana Game After All
The Nebraska football team got some good news on Thursday as some players who have been in danger of missing the Indiana game were ruled as “available” for this weekend’s showdown.
The biggest name that went from “doubtful” to “will play” is running back Devine Ozigbo. After coming up injured against Illinois, the sophomore had not been healing as quickly as the Nebraska football coaches had been hoping. It turns out the extra week off was just what the doctor, and team trainer ordered.
According to 247Sports, head coach Mike Riley was quite happy with the way he’s progressed towards the end of the week. “He looked good today, had a pretty good workout yesterday,” Riley said.
In addition to Ozigbo, a couple of other players who are banged up are healthy enough to play on Saturday are offensive guard Tanner Farmer, offensive tackle David Knevel and wide receiver Alonzo Moore. All three of those additions to the offense are more than welcome, as the Nebraska football team is going to have its hands full with the Hoosiers.

While Indiana is just 3-2 this season, they appear to be one of the up and coming programs in the Big Ten. The Hoosiers rely on an explosive offense that is good at both running and passing the ball. Against Ohio State, the team was beaten by three touchdowns, but they managed to score 17 against the conference’s best scoring defense.
It won’t be quite, “all hands on deck” for the Nebraska football team, however. Wide receiver Jordan Westerkamp and tight end Cethan Carter have been ruled out for this Saturday. That isn’t a surprise, but it’s still not good news.
