Lamar vs Houston live stream: Watch Cardinals vs Cougars online
Saturday Blitz provides you with the live stream information for the matchup between Lamar and Houston.
The Lamar Cardinals (0-1) will be facing off against the Houston Cougars (1-0). The #6 Cougars are coming off their shocking win over #3 Oklahoma. The game wasn’t even that close after the first half as Houston won 33-21, and nearly shut the Sooners out in the second half.
Lamar wasn’t nearly as efficient as Houston as they got blown out by Coastal Carolina 38-14. They had the lead at halftime 14-3, but must have left their scoring knowledge in the locker room as they were shutout the rest of the game.
As for key players look for Houston’s quarterback Greg Ward. He hurt his shoulder but should be good-to-go against Lamar. Ward threw for 321 yards and two touchdowns against the Sooners. He will try to hook up with wide receiver counterpart Steven Dunbar, who was good for seven receptions and 125 yards.
On defense, the Sooners gashed them for 323 yards and two touchdowns by Baker Mayfield. Houston did shut down the Sooners’ rushing game as they could only muster 70-yards.
For Lamar, running back Kade Harrington must be the workhorse. He gained 207 yards on 28 carries and scored two touchdowns. If Lamar can keep that motor running and keep the clock running they could have a chance to cover the spread of -42.5 points.
Harrington ended the 2015 regular season as the nation’s leader in rushing yards (2,092), rush yards per game (190.2), all-purpose yards (213.4), rushing touchdowns (21) and was second nationally in scoring (12.5 per game) and third in yards per carry (7.86).
Their defense is going to have to put pressure on Greg Ward. If the Cardinals can force mistakes from the quarterback and use it to their advantage they can keep the game in reach.
Date: Saturday, September 10

This game will most likely be over before halftime, as the Houston’s offense is overpowering and so will be their defense. The better question might be how long can Lamar hang onto to the game before the Cougars bring out their second-team?
