LB cites 'life after football' in choosing Notre Dame over Michigan
Jonathan Jones gave Notre Dame some good news Wednesday morning when he chose the Fighting Irish over Michigan.
Jones is a three-star prospect from Orlando (Fla.) Oak Ridge who made his decision with something more than football in mind, per 247Sports:
“Life after football," said Jones of Notre Dame. "They can really set you up to be a future leader in the world, I believe. It’s all about life after football. They all have great football. They all have good academics. They all have good coaches. I think Notre Dame is the best program for an alumni base and life after football.”
He is rated the No. 17 inside linebacker in the country by Scout.com and the fourth best in his home state.
Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly and others offered a preview of what they expect to be getting in the Floridian.
Welcome to the family, JONATHAN JONES ?
