Lee's late interception helps Harvard top Dartmouth 25-22 (Oct 28, 2017)
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) Jake Smith threw three touchdown passes, Tanner Lee made an interception in the final minutes, and Harvard rallied from a 14-0 deficit to beat Dartmouth 25-22 on Saturday.
Harvard, leading by three, punted with 1:48 left in the game from near midfield. Dartmouth went six plays to get to its 49 but Lee came up with the interception on a diving grab to seal it.
Earlier, Dartmouth forced Harvard (4-3, 3-1 Ivy League) to punt, but Danny McManus fumbled and the Crimson's Max Jones recovered it. After the play, radio station WHRB reported on Twitter that a frustrated Dartmouth assistant coach in the booth shattered a window and was promptly removed by security.
Harvard pulled within 14-12 on its opening drive of the second half when Lavance Northington threw a 4-yard score to Antonellis, but the 2-point conversion failed.
The Crimson took the lead for good when Smith threw a 4-yard TD pass to Henry Taylor to start the fourth. It was set up by a blocked punt deep in Big Green territory.
Heneghan threw for 215 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions for Dartmouth (5-2, 3-1).
