LISTEN: Pinkel distances himself from protest group 'Concerned Student 1950'
In a somewhat peculiar interview Tuesday afternoon, Missouri head coach Gary Pinkel answered some tough questions about the current state of the Missouri football program -- and the events surrounding the resignation of former president Tim Wolfe in recent days.

Pinkel has been publicly vocal in the support for his football team during this entire ordeal. He even went on Twitter and posted a picture with the caption "The Mizzou Family stands as one. We are united. We are behind our players. #ConcernedStudent1950 GP."
The reference to "Concerned Student 1950" speaks to the student protest group on campus. It was part and parcel in vocalizing its displeasure over Wolfe's lack of action in response to racially-driven incidents on campus.

During the interview with Kansas City radio station WHB 810, Pinkel revealed that he has a person tweet for him on the official account. The hashtag #ConcernedStudent1950 was mistakenly tweeted without Pinkel's permission.
"That organization can do what they want to," said Pinkel. "No judgments on them at all. But that should not have come out."
There's no question Pinkel had the best interests of his players at heart. He supported the stance on the abandoning all football-related activities until the hunger strike of graduate student Jonathan Butler ended.
With that said, this was a fascinating interview -- and one which appeared to make Pinkel flustered at times.
