Lou Holtz still rooting for Gophers

Former Gophers coach and ESPN commentator Lou Holtz may be retired from broadcasting but he still has lots of love for the Gophers.

The 78-year-old recently left ESPN after ten years and is very happy with retirement. He also can't help but sing the praises of the Gophers program that he led for two years prior to Notre Dame. According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press:

"I'm very pleased with the way Jerry Kill is going," Holtz said. "He does a tremendous job. They're tough; they're physical. I'm very happy for them. I picked them as the surprise team in the Big Ten last year, and he proved me right."

I'm sure Gophers fans are hoping he has even bigger hopes for them this season.
