Louisville Football: Taking a look back at when Lamar Jackson chose the Cards
We take a look back in time where Lamar Jackson made his decision to commit to the Louisville Football program.
Lamar Jackson has put the Louisville Football program on a completely different level this season. I cannot remember a time when everyone was so confident in the Cards’ ability to beat anyone in the nation. Either way, this has been a special year for Lamar Jackson and the Louisville Cardinals.
Can you imagine what it would be like if Jackson didn’t decide to go to Louisville? What would this 2016 look like? Would Kyle Bolin be starting or would it be the freshman, Jawon Pass? Thankfully we never have to know the answer to that question.
Therefore, let’s take a look back in time when Lamar Jackson made his decision to attend the University of Louisville, courtesy of WPTV News out of South Florida:
The best thing you will hear all weekend is, “Because momma said so”. That is why Louisville is ranked fifth in the country, that’s why the Cards’ have a Heisman Trophy caliber quarterback, and that’s why Cardinals’ fans are dreaming about a National Championship in 2016: “Because Momma said so”.
I think every Louisville football fan needs to be thanking their lucky stars that Lamar Jackson decided to come to Louisville. We should also be thankful for the coaching staff identifying the talent in this young football player as well.
The Louisville Cardinals are in a great position to climb into the top four before the season ends and that’s because of Lamar Jackson.
