The Louisville football team have been playing great this season, but we take a look at where they could improve going forward anyways.

Going into week nine, the Cardinals are currently tenth in the ACC in turnover differential. This is just about the only category that the Louisville football team is in the bottom half of the conference in right now. However, it is something that i’m sure they don’t take lightly.

Take a look at the turnover differential outlook among the top ten ACC teams right now:

It is kind of concerning that the Cardinals aren’t doing so well in this category, especially with a crucial stretch of the season coming up. Louisville cannot afford to keep coughing up the football, but it’s not like the defense isn’t taking the football back.

Louisville’s defense has forced 15 turnovers this season, which puts them which puts them tied for second in the conference with Wake Forest and Florida State. Those two teams are currently first and second in turnover differential.

The problem is that Louisville is fumbling the football too much this season. I know it doesn’t seem like it, but they have coughed up the ball 11 times, which is the second worst in the ACC, only slightly in front of Virginia Tech.

This is not a good look for the Cards.

The good news is that these turnovers haven’t been game-killers for the Cardinals, however a few of them hurt the Cards down in Clemson.

This is just something to keep an eye on going forward and absolutely something Louisville can improve on.
