Louisville Football: Will this be a statement game against Boston College?
Coming off a close win against Virginia and being ranked seventh in the playoff poll, will this be a statement game for Louisville Football against Boston College?
I am fairly positive that everyone around the Louisville football program was disappointed by the fact Virginia played the Cards very close and that they came in at seventh in the playoff poll. Other than a close loss to Clemson earlier in the season, the Cardinals have done everything that they have needed to do.
Well, maybe not in the College Football Playoff committee’s eyes.
However, the Cards cannot worry about that kind of thing for the month of November. They face four opponents that are going to give them their best shot. To be more specific, Louisville is playing in four team’s national championships over the next month.
Boston College is first up in the order of teams looking to knock off the Cardinals. The Eagles have the best statisical defense in the conference and will test Louisville’s ability to execute on offense. With that being said, this could be a game where the Cards make a statement.

Everyone around the country is going to be interested to see how Louisville responds after being let down on Tuesday night. Don’t be surprised when the Cardinals come out and shut the mouths of every Louisville hater in the country on Saturday.
I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see Lamar Jackson have one of his best games of the season against Boston College. The committee is going to want to see Louisville beat the Eagles down and they will get exactly what they ask for.
