Louisville slips to No. 7 in AP poll, Clemson up to No. 3

Clemson’s dramatic win over Louisville helped the Tigers move from No. 5 to No. 3 in the latest AP Top 25, while the Cardinals fell to No. 7 from No. 3. The Cardinals erased an 18-point halftime deficit but could not hang on for the win on Saturday night.

Alabama and Ohio State retained the top two spots in the rankings, while Michigan remained at No. 4.

Washington’s blowout win over Stanford pushed the Huskies to No. 5 after they were at No. 10 last week. The Cardinal fell from No. 7 to No. 15 after the loss. 

North Carolina, Oklahoma, Colorado, West Virginia and Virginia Tech enter the Top 25 after being unranked last week.

The Tar Heels defeated Florida State on a last-second field goal on Saturday. It was FSU’s second loss in three weeks and the Seminoles fell from No. 12 to No. 23 as a result.
