Louisville had not trouble disposing of the Charlotte 49ers in week one, taking a 56-0 lead by halftime and then holding on for a 70-14 thrashing. Sophomore quarterback Lamar Jackson burst onto the scene for the Cardinals and looked like a stud.

Just how well did Jackson play? The second-year dual-threat passed for 286 yards and six touchdowns while rushing for 119 yards and two more scores. Between Jackson and backup Kyle Bolin, there were 16 different receivers who caught a pass in the opening game.

Syracuse might be the heavy underdog heading into this Friday night home game, but the Orange’s offense could make it interesting. Sure, Louisville’s defense is as stingy as it comes, but Syracuse recorded 554 total yards in an opening week win over Colgate.

The Carrier Dome will be rocking as Syracuse will have its biggest game of the early season in prime time. The Orange have a sophomore quarterback of their own to rely on who also has a ton of talent in Eric Dungey who completed 34-of-40 passes for 355 yards and two touchdowns last week.

Keep an eye on his favorite target, Amba Etta-Tawo, who had 12 catches for 210 yards and a touchdown. Ervin Philips had 14 receptions for 87 yards and a score as well.
