LSU Tigers Quarterback Commit Putting Up Monster Numbers

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

For going on a decade now, elite quarterback play has been scarce in Baton Rouge to say the least. The LSU Tigers have one of the top rosters in all of college football seemingly every single year, but the play from the quarterback position is something that often holds them back from their full potential.

So, recently, the Tiger coaching staff has made a point to go out and recruit elite talent at the position to come down to LSU to play their college ball. From what it looks like, they may just have found the quarterback they have been desperately searching for, as one of the team’s top commits at the position has been on an absolute tear as of late.

2017 quarterback commitment Myles Brennan put up absolutely absurd numbers in his last high school game, throwing for well over 500 yards and putting the ball in the end zone NINE times. Eight times through the air, and once with his legs.

The incredible performance gave him his 152nd career passing touchdown, which is good for the Mississippi state record for most career passing scores. The previous mark was set by former Mississippi State quarterback Dylan Favre.

Brennan is a four-star recruit, and is a huge get for this LSU team out of Mississippi. One positive thing to note: Brennan has been heavily pressured to re-open his recruiting process and explore other options, but has refused to break his commitment to the Tigers. If he sticks with it, it may not be long before he is lighting it up on Saturday’s for LSU.
