As both teams battle injuries, it could be another game that’s up in the air. Or one where the Tigers set more offensive records.

The LSU Tigers were in good hands in the backfield despite the absence ,of running back Leonard Fournette. His replacement, running back Derrius Guice ran for three touchdowns and a career-high 163 rushing yards. There was also running back Darrel Williams, who rushed for a career-high 130 yards and three touchdowns.

Overall, the Tigers had 418 rushing yards in the game. It was truly a career day in a new start for the LSU Tigers.

LSU dominated the Missouri Tigers 42-7 last week in interim head coach Ed Orgeron’s first game. The Tigers are now 2-1 in the SEC after setting the school record of offensive yards with 634. Despite the loss of head coach Les Miles, the Tigers look to their stable of running backs to right the ship.

Fournette is listed as doubtful for this week’s game.

The Florida Gators are ranked 18th in the AP Poll but struggled mightily against Vanderbilt in a 13-6 victory.  Without quarterback Luke Del Rio, the Gators looked abysmal on offense. They managed just 236 yards of total offense in the game. Vanderbilt had 265 total yards of offense.

With Del Rio listed as questionable with a knee injury, Florida could be on upset alert this week. Backup quarterback Austin Appleby was 19 for 28 with just 144 yards against the Commodores. Running back Jordan Scarlett scored the lone touchdown to go along with 55 rushing yards.

UPDATE: Saturday’s game between LSU and Florida has been postponed due to Hurricane Matthew.

If Del Rio is good to go, things could be on the up and up, if not, it could be another game where the Gators are left hanging until the very end or much worse.
