Malzahn fires shot at any 'team from up north' during SEC Media Days
The fireworks are starting early as SEC Media Days kicked off with new commissioner Greg Sankey followed by Gus Malzahn. It didn't take long for Auburn's head coach to field a question regarding Michigan and satellite camps being held in the South.
Boom.
While satellite camps were a hot-button issue this offseason, they camps are nothing new to college football. Malzahn is also correct in his assumption that many players have little interest in leaving the South to play in cold weather, however the camps do offer many players currently being overlooked a chance to earn a scholarship.
Just don't expect a mass exodus of players leaving the region to go play in another conference, particularly elite players.
Malzahn also gave his thoughts on the Tigers' new video board, which will be the largest in college football this season.
War Damn Eagle.
