SOMERVILLE, Mass. (AP) A Massachusetts man accused of gunning down a former New Hampshire college football player has been held without bail.

Tony Harris pleaded not guilty to murder and other charges Monday at his arraignment in Somerville, Massachusetts. His lawyer did not seek bail.

Prosecutors allege Harris shot and killed 20-year-old Kevin Raymond in a parking lot in the Boston suburb on Oct. 14. There is no word on a motive.

Raymond was a student at Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, New Hampshire. The Boston Globe reports Raymond played football for the university in 2015 but had not been enrolled this semester.

Raymond also played football at Somerville High School. Head football coach Makonnen Fenton says Raymond starred at running back until he graduated in 2014.
