The crash, which occurred in West Virginia as the team was returning from a game at East Carolina, remains the deadliest in sports history. All 75 people on board -- including 37 players, eight coaches, 25 boosters and five members of the flight crew -- died. The Herd canceled the remainder of their 1970 season.
Marshall beat Florida International, 52-0, to improve to 9-2.
