Maryland at UCF: Start Time, TV Info, and More
Maryland travels to the Sunshine State for the second consecutive week and will face Central Florida on Saturday evening. Below is all the information you’ll need to know in order to watch the game plus a preview of the action.
The Terrapins saw a little bump in competition when they faced Florida International last Friday.
However, Maryland continued to dominate the opposition and cruised past the Golden Panthers in a 41-14 win. Quarterback Perry Hills looked flawless as he completed 13-of-18 passes for 210 yards and three touchdowns.
Hills had a knack for finding sophomore wideout D.J. Moore throughout the game. Moore ended up having a career performance and hauled in six passes for 147 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Both of Moore’s touchdowns came from at least 40 yards out.
Maryland’s defense also came to play throughout Friday’s contest.
With the offense struggling on their first few drives, cornerback Alvin Hill was able to tip a pass into the waiting arms of linebacker Jermaine Carter Jr. Carter ended up taking it back for a 14-yard touchdown and gave the Terps a 10-0 lead.
Maryland did struggled to defend the run at times against the Golden Panthers and that could be a key factor against the Knights on Saturday.
Central Florida possesses a strong running game that includes Dontravious Wilson and Jawon Hamilton. Wilson led the Knights with 17 carries for 81 yards and a touchdown against Michigan last week.
With some uncertainty at quarterback, Central Florida could lean on the ground attack and Maryland will have to be ready to defend it.
