Maryland vs. Howard: Start Time, Live Stream, TV Info, and More
Maryland opens the 2016 season against Howard at home on Saturday afternoon. Below is all the information you’ll need to know in order to watch the game plus a preview of the action.
The Terrapins will kick off the season against the Bison in a battle of two programs that have never met.
Maryland is embarking on a new era for the program with former Michigan defensive coordinator D.J. Durkin on the sidelines. Durkin has assembled a very talented staff that includes Walt Bell, Andy Buh, Pete Lembo, and Mike London among others.
Despite losing a significant amount of talent on defense, Maryland’s unit still has a tremendous roster when it comes to that side of the football. Cornerback Will Likely returns to anchor a very talented secondary and he’ll play some offense as well.
Once thought to be a weakness, the secondary could be one of the better ones in the Big Ten. Former Florida cornerback J.C. Jackson joined the Terps this summer and could be the most talented player on the entire roster.
Perry Hills will begin the season as the team’s starting quarterback, much like a season ago. Hills will run Bell’s up-tempo offense and could be a perfect fit.
Combine that with the depth at both running back and wide receiver and Maryland is going to be exciting when it comes to the offense.
