Memphis player uses force to steal ball from Auburn ball boy
A wild scene played out after Auburn beat Memphis 31-10 in the Birmingham Bowl.
Video showed Memphis cornerback Reggis Ball getting into an altercation with an Auburn team manager and using force to steal a football before running away with it (see the video at the top of this post).
Interim Memphis coach Darrell Dickey was alerted of the incident prior to walking into the postgame news conference and offered this comment:
A fan at the game caught the incident on his phone and posted this original video to Facebook:

Ball apparently autographed the football and posted it to Instagram:

Memphis was quickly able to figure out what happened, apparently, because Ball, a senior, was dismissed from the program after the game.

According to a report, the Auburn team manager had not filed a complaint to the police. "He may decide to allow the school to handle it," Birmingham police department chief A.C. Roper told AL.com, "but the legal system can be utilized if he chooses."
