Mercer to open at Memphis, host five

(STATS) - Mercer's emerging program will seek its first winning season in the Southern Conference as part of an 11-game 2018 schedule.

The Bears, entering their fifth season in the SoCon, have posted 4-4 conference records each of the past two seasons under coach Bobby Lamb.

Mercer will open Sept. 1 by visiting Memphis at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium. The Bears' schedule also includes five home games at Five Star Stadium in Macon, Georgia, against Pioneer Football League member Jacksonville (Sept. 8) and SoCon opponents The Citadel (Sept. 22), Western Carolina (Oct. 20), ETSU (Nov. 3) and Furman (Nov. 17).
