Miami Hurricanes Bowl Projections After Week 9
Despite the loss at Notre Dame, the Miami Hurricanes Bowl fortunes remained largely unchanged with a bit of shuffling in the different Bowl amongst the experts.
Miami’s fortunes should not change much this week either. They host 5-3 Pittsburgh on Saturday. The Hurricanes would likely move up a rung on the ACC pecking order for Bowl Games, but there is not a big difference in any of these Bowls in terms of prestige.
Some of the games like the Tax Slayer Bowl have more history, but the dropoff after the New Year’s Six games is significant. How many people even realize that the Tax Slayer Bowl was formerly the Gator Bowl? The Game dates back to the 1945 season.

Miami has four games remaining. After hosting 5-3 Pittsburgh Saturday the Hurricanes have road games at Virginia and North Carolina State. They finish the season with Duke at home. The Wolfpack, Cavaliers, and Blue Devils are a combined 2-10 in the ACC.
Although two of the three games are on the road, they are all games the Hurricanes should win. They need to primarily focus on themselves and figure out what has gone wrong the last four weeks in losses to Florida State, North Carolina, Virginia Tech and Notre Dame.
With a young team, Miami still has a lot to build for the future. A strong finish to the 2016 season will build momentum for 2017/
